Ann Elder – Born in 1942

Back in the golden age of TV comedy, Ann Elder was one of those faces you instantly recognized. She popped up on shows like “Get Smart” and “The Smothers Brothers Show,” but it was her two-season run on “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In” that really turned her into a household name.
Totally unafraid to go for a laugh, she held her own among some of the biggest comics of the time. By the mid-1970s, Ann was making waves behind the scenes too, snagging Emmy Awards for writing Lily Tomlin’s hit comedy specials. In 1980, she even co-produced HBO’s political satire “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the White House.”
