Angie Dickinson – Born in 1931

Angie Dickinson epitomized cool in the 1960s. She turned heads in 1959 when she starred with John Wayne and Dean Martin in “Rio Bravo,” a role that earned her a Golden Globe and put her on Hollywood’s A-list. From there, she became part of the Rat Pack crowd, playing Frank Sinatra’s wife in “Ocean’s 11” and holding her own among the biggest stars of the era.
By 1974, she made television history as Sergeant Pepper Anderson in “Police Woman,” one of the first female-led cop dramas on TV. That role made her a household name and a symbol of female strength with style.
