Lee Majors – Born in 1939

If the word “action” had a face in the 1970s, it was Lee Majors. He shot to fame as Colonel Steve Austin in “The Six Million Dollar Man,” the bionic hero who could run faster, jump higher, and punch harder than anyone on TV. The show became a worldwide hit, turning him into a pop-culture legend.

Before that, he rode as Heath Barkley on “The Big Valley,” sharing scenes with Barbara Stanwyck and earning a loyal fan base. Then, in the 1980s, he switched gears with “The Fall Guy,” playing a Hollywood stuntman who moonlighted as a bounty hunter.
