Oliver Stone: The Writer With A Purple Heart
Oliver Stone was undoubtedly a brave man! Before you ask ‘how’, let us reveal the fact that supports the claim. Prior to entering the entertainment business, he not only enlisted in the army during the Vietnam war but also volunteered to be assigned with combat duty.
All thanks to his courage, the military veteran was awarded several accolades for his heroic efforts including the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. It seems like Oliver was meant for winning trophies for whatever he did in life as he also grabbed three Academy awards for different categories in his later career as a director and writer.
