Expert Tips on How to Feel Happy In Life
The feeling of happiness is related to your psychological state of mind, specifically the health of your emotional state. Pleasant and positive emotions create happiness. According to research in the field of psychology, the scale of happiness is derived from a person’s assessment of his or her overall state of well-being. Philosophically, happiness is not linked to one’s emotional state; rather it is the measure of the quality of life that is spent, a measure of prosperity.
It is believed that feeling happy may be a major contributing factor to good physical health. However, no evidence has yet been found which may support this view. For example, those who are suffering from physical illness may experience great joy and happiness while healthy people may become psychologically ill. Happiness depends on moments which make an individual feel self-efficient, whole and alive. People who feel happy all the time drive happiness out of the small moments of joy they experience every day.

There are a lot of things that a person can do to feel happy in life, no matter under what circumstances he or she is living. Some of the ways mentioned below are scientifically proven to create happiness in your mind. If you want to be happy, try the following techniques.
Be Thankful For Everything
One of the key reasons that many people are unhappy in life is that they are thankless about all they have achieved. Many people are not satisfied with their jobs, relationships, or physical health. Their worry becomes over whelming and they forget to be thankful about the good things in their life. Consequently, most time of their day is spent in stress and worry.

Thankfulness is an attitude that you need to develop within yourself, as being thankful generates positive images about life in your mind. According to research, expressing gratitude can be a great way to treat symptoms of anxiety and stress.
When you focus on good things in your life, your mind starts coping with the trauma of any negative past experiences which you may have had. Many people practice thankfulness during periods of stress to combat the effects of trauma.
Find Your Purpose in Life
People who do not feel that they have a purpose in life are unable to find happiness in the small moments of existence. A purposeful life gives meaning and reason to your existence. People often experience existential crises when they do not recognize the purpose of their existence.
The purpose of life does not need to be big, instead it simply needs to be meaningful enough to create an impact on your life, particularly on your self-esteem. For example, you can start volunteering at a charity as that is the easiest way to create an impact. This boost of self-confidence will substantially add to your feeling of contentment with life.
Feel Confident About Yourself
The best way to feel confident and good about yourself is to think positively about your life and appreciate your character and skills. People who think negatively about themselves often get sucked into feelings of depression and stress. Feeling unworthy and undeserving of happiness eventually deprives you of all the good things in life.
To recover from all this negativity, make a list of all the good skills that you have and also a list of all those activities which will make good use of those skills. This will also help you in identifying your shortcomings and areas of improvement for which you can devise a skills improvement plan. By adding new skills in your profile, you can feel more confident and competent about yourself and eventually better engage yourself in productive activities. The more confident you are, the more happiness you will feel in life.

Stay Active
Engage yourself in some physical activity and practice it on a daily basis. Taking a walk of around 30 minutes in the green fields of a park, for example, will boost the serotonin levels in your brain, which is the same hormone that is responsible for creating a sensation of happiness.
Do not spend all of your time in official work. Rather, try to strike a balance between work life and personal life. Give yourself time, like going on vacations every year, if possible
