Tom Hanks – $350M

A Hollywood big shot, Tom Hanks has been gracing screens since his debut in 1980, with blockbusters such as Splash,  Castaway, Forest Gump, and Philadelphia (for which he received an Academy Award).  Considering that his films have grossed $9 billion, his net worth of approximately $350 million sounds like pocket change (and more than enough to set up an investment account) but it’s still an eye-watering amount. The guy even has an asteroid, 12818 Tomhanks, named after him.  Multimillion-dollar fortune aside, we think that’s pretty cool.

Barbra Streisand – $390M

Barbara Streisand is no stranger to fame, with a prolific career in both acting and singing, she has spent several decades building a formidable fortune. She started life from humble beginnings in Brooklyn, and though she was desperate to become a famous actor, it was her voice that first got her recognized.  With 33 studio albums behind her name and many Hollywood films, this star has worked her way to success. However, it is her shrewd strategy, particularly in real estate investment, that has really been the source of her ever-growing fortune.

LeBron James – $400M

Many would agree, Le Bron James is one of the best basketball players to have ever lived. Netting approximately $80 million per year, he has amassed total earnings valued at $400 million, and with his endorsements, that figure could increase significantly. His lifetime endorsement deal with Nike alone is set to earn him $1 billion. Despite his impressive earnings to date, James has not been sitting on his hands. He’s started a production company called SpringHill Entertainment and been a part of an investment group.
