From meeting at a law firm to spending close to three decades together and being the first family of the United States, we don’t think Barack and Michelle Obama envisioned that turn of events when they first saw each other in 1989. Three years after their office encounter, they tied the knot and have been together ever since.
Being in the limelight can take a toll on any relationship, but the Obamas have found a way to keep their union intact, making time for family, while at the same time respecting one another. If this isn’t the perfect example of the ‘marriage works’ slogan, we don’t know what is.
