Even though she was caked in mud, the mama elephant somehow managed to hoist her little one out of harm’s way. There was a tense moment when folks worried that the baby might get scared by all the clapping and cheering from the villagers and rush back into the pit.
But nope, that little guy was just too thrilled to be snuggled up with his mom again, so he stayed put. The villagers’ plan had gone off without a hitch. The baby was reunited with its mom, totally safe and ready to leave this scary event behind. Everyone stood around feeling pretty darn good about what they’d accomplished together. It was a heartwarming scene that showed just how much can be achieved when people come together.
