A Mother’s Joyful Rescue
Few things are as satisfying as wrapping up a mission and saving someone you care about. This mother elephant was on the brink of doing just that, and the villagers could feel her enthusiasm. She realized she didn’t need to dig anymore and concentrated on getting to her baby.
With a happy swing of her trunk, she gently grabbed her muddy, bewildered calf and lifted him up. Though he was covered in muck and seemed a bit puzzled, the little one looked glad to be safe again. The villagers stood there amazed as mom and baby reunited, both clearly relieved. The tough part was almost over, and seeing their happiness warmed everyone’s hearts.
