In India, it’s pretty normal to see groups of elephants wandering around. Back in 2015, during the rainy season, about 60 of these amazing animals were spotted making their way down a road in the eastern part of the country.
The forests up in the hills here are also home to some other incredible wildlife, like the golden leopard cat and the famous Royal Bengal Tiger. But for the locals, elephants always had a special place in their hearts. As they watched this impressive group stroll by, something unusual happened. One elephant suddenly veered off and began digging at the ground, which got everyone watching really curious and a bit worried.
