Too Many Questions

Days turned into weeks, and the chaos of new life settled into a rhythm. Yet, during a follow-up call, the owner mentioned something strange: half the puppies had opened their eyes, while the rest were still tightly shut. That didn’t make sense. Development in a single litter is usually synced. The veterinarian listened carefully, concern replacing curiosity.
He packed his bag, determined to see for himself. At the house, the pups tumbled across blankets, bright-eyed and eager, except for those still blind to the light. He made careful notes and checked reflexes. Everything looked healthy, but the timing split nagged him. The mystery wasn’t fading. It was deepening with every visit.
