The timing doesn’t get sharper than this midair leap frozen in action over a very calm and unaware deer. The flying squirrel is locked into whatever mission it’s on, zipping through the air like it’s been planning this route all week. Meanwhile, the deer stares into the darkness like it has no idea it’s part of someone else’s launchpad.
Everything about this photo feels like it’s happened before—maybe multiple times. The positioning, the angles, and the complete lack of reaction from the deer all hint at a woodland routine no one outside the forest gets to see. It’s acrobatics meets unbothered stoicism, and somehow it works.
