Entertainer Robert Forster got the ball rolling with ‘Reflections in a Golden Eye,’ but it was his role in ‘Medium Cool’ that shot him to fame. Despite all the success, the 90s were harsh on him, and the actor was jobless for almost two years.
In 1997, director Quentin Tarantino came to him with a role in the movie ‘Jackie Brown,’ and it turned out to be a stroke of good fortune. The part earned him an Oscar nomination and set him up for hundreds of other film and television roles. His most notable on-screen appearance came in ‘Better Call Saul’ and ‘El Camino’ before his unfortunate passing in 2019.
