David Letterman Relentlessly Presses Paris Hilton on Jail Time
Socialite Paris Hilton walked onto “Late Show with David Letterman” in 2007 expecting to promote her fragrance line. Instead, the conversation took a sharp turn when the host repeatedly grilled her about her recent jail time.
Despite attempting to shift the discussion to her business ventures, she grew visibly uncomfortable as the host continued pressing. The audience laughed, but Paris was clearly frustrated, at one point clearly stating, “I’ve moved on, and I don’t want to talk about it.” After the interview, she called the experience “very cruel and very mean,” later revealing she left the stage in tears. The exchange became one of David’s most controversial interviews.
