George Hamilton – Born in 1939

There are movie stars, and then there’s George Hamilton, the man who made charm and a deep tan into an art form. He first caught Hollywood’s eye in 1959 with “Crime and Punishment U.S.A.,” earning a Golden Globe for Most Promising Newcomer.
Throughout the 1960s, he became known for his sleek looks and smooth presence, playing romantic leads that oozed sophistication. But in 1979, he surprised everyone by poking fun at himself in the hilarious vampire spoof “Love at First Bite,” proving he had sharp comedic timing to match his style. The film became a cult hit, showing that George didn’t take himself too seriously.
