The Grim Reaper Tried, But These Famous Faces Said Hell No

Tippi Hedren – Born in 1930

Few actresses had an introduction to fame as unforgettable as Tippi Hedren. In 1961, Alfred Hitchcock spotted her in a TV commercial and turned her into a star almost overnight. Two years later, she terrified and captivated audiences in “The Birds,” earning a Golden Globe and cementing her place in Hollywood history.

She followed that success with “Marnie” in 1964, proving she could handle both beauty and psychological depth on screen. After parting ways with Hitchcock, she traded movie sets for a cause close to her heart: animal rescue. In 1983, she founded the Roar Foundation and established the Shambala Preserve, a sanctuary for lions and tigers.
