The Grim Reaper Tried, But These Famous Faces Said Hell No

Terry Kilburn – Born in 1926

Some actors capture hearts early and leave a mark that lasts for generations. Terry Kilburn did precisely that. He became one of Hollywood’s most beloved child stars after playing Tiny Tim in the 1938 classic “A Christmas Carol.” His innocent face and heartfelt delivery of “God bless us, everyone” melted the hearts of audiences everywhere.

The following year, he showed his range in “Goodbye, Mr. Chips,” playing four generations of the same family. As he grew older, he stepped away from film and focused on theater. After earning his degree in drama from UCLA, he directed and performed across the country, eventually leading Michigan’s Meadow Brook Theatre.
