The Grim Reaper Tried, But These Famous Faces Said Hell No

Robert Fuller – Born in 1933

Robert Fuller was the kind of actor who could walk into a scene and instantly own it. He became a household name in 1959 when he saddled up as Jess Harper in “Laramie,” the hit Western that made him one of TV’s most popular cowboys. With that deep voice and easy charm, he fit the role like he was born for it.

After wrangling cattle, he switched gears in the 1970s, trading the Wild West for the big city as Dr. Kelly Brackett on “Emergency!” Fans loved seeing the cowboy turned lifesaver. He also appeared in “Wagon Train” and Western classics like “Return of the Seven.”
