Ed Asner – 89, $12 million
If there’s an actor who does a great job at making his characters true-to-life, then that would be Ed Asner. He did so well at portraying Lou Grant in The Mary Tyler Moore Show and it opened a lot of doors for him.
Asner got his show a couple of years later, and he also tried voice acting gigs such as Carl’s voice in the Pixar film, UP. He didn’t just contribute to the acting industry, he also spent most of his earnings on a charity that helps Holocaust survivors.
