Jesse Tyler Ferguson, the lovable Mitchell from “Modern Family,” met lawyer and producer Justin Mikita in 2010 at the gym. They started dating soon after and got married in 2013 in New York, with playwright Tony Kushner officiating. In 2020, they became parents to a son named Beckett, and added another baby boy to the family in 2023.
Together, they co-founded “Tie The Knot,” a bow tie charity supporting LGBTQ causes. Jesse brings the laughs, while Justin works behind the scenes advocating for equality. They make activism look stylish, and parenthood even more fabulous. Beckett’s middle name, Mercer, honors Jesse’s dad, who passed away just before he was born.
