Bill Russell made history on the basketball court, but off the court, Marilyn Nault was the woman who stole his heart. They met in the mid-1990s when she was working as a jewelry salesperson, and their connection turned into something special. By 2000, they made it official, tying the knot just days after his 66th birthday.
Though they didn’t have children together, Marilyn embraced Bill’s three kids from his first marriage. Their life was full of adventure, traveling the world and enjoying every moment. Sadly, their love story was cut short when Marilyn passed away in 2009 at the age of 59.
