Her name is Caryn Elaine Johnson, but we all know her as Whoopi Goldberg. This lovely lady is a living legend. The ’90s saw our queen feature in numerous films and shows, propelling her to immense stardom, making Whoopi the icon we know today.
Like most professionals of her time, Whoopi began her career on stage, where she quickly grabbed the attention of film casters and audience members. This happened in the early ’80s, and it was around this time the actor bagged her Grammy, and it wasn’t long before she achieved the ‘EGOT’ status. These days, Whoopi splits time between co-hosting ‘The View’ and her residence in West Orange, New Jersey.
