Tom Selleck: The Proud Sergeant
Acting is surely his passion, but he is equally proud of being a U.S. Army veteran. During the six years that Tom spent in the military, he was a part of the California National Guard and became a Sergeant prior to retirement. Moving on from that phase, entertaining the audiences became the new ambition of the actor’s life.
That said, the star had to wait for a while until the success of Magnum, P.I. established him in the industry. Years have passed since he retired from the army, but Tom still supports the troops by being grateful to them: a lesson that he learned during his tenure.
