Greg’s Only Rule
As the kids kept coming, Greg realized they needed boundaries to keep things safe and the pool in good shape. After gathering the children and parents, he announced an important rule: no dogs would ever be allowed in the pool. It wasn’t meant to spoil the fun; he just worried about scratches and costly repairs to the delicate liner.
Everyone nodded and promised to follow this simple request, and at first, it seemed to work. The children played happily, and Greg felt a sense of relief. But deep down, he couldn’t shake a nagging feeling that the peace wouldn’t last. He may have put too much faith in the neighborhood.
