Rosie Mercado is an undeniably beautiful woman, and so she is a successful plus-size model. But an embarrassing incident on a flight helped encourage Rosie to do something about her weight. She was told by a flight attendant that she would have to buy a second seat as she wouldn’t fit into just one!
At the time, she was 410 pounds and the immense humiliation she felt was motivation enough. The criticism was a good thing then because she later got gastric sleeve surgery which led her to lose half of her weight!
