Dolly Parton’s more recent renditions of Islands in the Stream made it clear that her vocal cords stopped aging when she was 30! As far as her looks are concerned, she is not willing to budge on the makeup part of it, even when she is asleep.
Parton has stated time and again that she will always be dolled up in front of the cameras. The singer doesn’t mind if people go as far as calling her overdone since the goal is to be seen in an avatar that her fans recognize. That’s quite the effort she is taking for the sake of her followers!
