Glynis Johns – 95, $16 million
British film, TV, and stage actress Glynis Johns won a Tony Award for bringing to life the character ‘Desiree Armfeldt’ on the Broadway production titled, A Little Night Music. She also acted in Mary Poppins, the Disney motion picture, where she played the role of ‘Winifred Banks.’
In 1960, she earned an Oscar Award nomination for The Sundowners. Her last film role was when she was cast in Superstar in 1999. Johns didn’t have formal drama training that would have naturally taken her into acting. Her route into the entertainment field started with dancing, then progressed to stage, and finally, she settled on TV and film until her retirement.
