Tippi Hedren – 89, $20 million
It was during the time that she worked as a successful fashion model that Tippi Hedren met the legendary filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock who offered her first role in the movie. Among many, Hedren appeared on The Birds, Citizen Ruth, Roar, Marnie, I Woke Up Early The Day I Died, and I Heart Huckabees.
Although she never attended acting classes, Hedren has been one of the most notable names in the film industry for so many years. In 1969, while filming two movies in Africa, she committed herself firmly to the rescuing of animals. So to assist The Shambala Reserve, in 1983, she created her not-for-profit entity, Roar Foundation.
